Simon Garrity (ProSeries 4) enjoyed a win as the story he originally crafted called EXAM won the Panavision Independent Spirit Award at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. (See Hollywood Reporter announcement.) Simon’s original draft was rewritten and shot by writer/director Stuart Hazeldine. Simon received “Story by” credit, with “Written by” going to Hazeldine. [...]

Kevin Lee Miller (ProSeries 17) produced the 3-minute “John Hughes Tribute” video that was shown at the Academy Awards on Sunday night. With 40 million viewers, that’s pretty exciting. Kenneth Kemp (ProSeries 24) was commissioned to adapt a novel titled NEAR FALL. The author and producer, Joe Reasbeck, has secured funding. NEAR FALL is a tween coming-of-age story set in the world of junior wrestling. Ken is also set to direct the movie. Great job, Ken!
