Capestany Films has hired ScreenwritingU Alum, Tracee Beebe (PS 41, MSC 2) to write the screenplay for their film MY SILENT VOICE.
Director/Producer Scott Capestany came up with the idea for the story about a deaf girl who wants to become a championship horse rider. Tracee's background as a horse trainer and as a screenwriter made her a perfect fit for the project.
Tracee was recommended to the producer by a fellow screenwriter from the ScreenwritingU Alumi.
The project is in pre-production and is slated to begin filming in late summer of this year. They are casting actual hearing impaired actors to play the roles of the deaf characters, including the young horse lover who is at the heart of the story.
Tracee also has a deal with Bill Todman Jr. (X-Men, Wild Wild West) for her screenplay "101 Ways to Survive the End of the World." See that deal here.
